Create or remove a DVD drive

You can create a DVD drive for a VM that does not have one or remove a VM's existing DVD drive when the VM is shut down.
To create a DVD drive:
  1. On the VM's Storage tab or Console tab, click Create a DVD drive....
  2. On the Add DVD Drive dialog, specify the position where you want to add the new DVD drive.
  3. Click OK.
To remove a DVD drive:
  1. On the VM's Storage tab or Console tab, click Remove drive.
  2. Click Yes to confirm.
